Can I track any gift card with Giftbit?

Giftbit tracks digital gift cards and prepaid cards sent through your Giftbit account. You can monitor delivery, opening, claim, and redemption activity, but Giftbit can’t locate or identify the user of an unrelated retail gift card purchased elsewhere.

Is Giftbit email delivery reliable or do rewards end up in spam folders?

Giftbit’s email delivery is highly reliable and built to avoid spam folders as much as possible. The platform uses robust sender authentication (like DKIM and DMARC), trusted domains, and industry best practices to maximize inbox placement. And if an email doesn’t reach a recipient, undeliverable messages are surfaced so you can manage gift delivery and resend rewards as needed.

Can I see what a recipient spend their gift card on?

Giftbit tracks when a recipient claims their reward (shown as “Redeemed” in some Giftbit reports) and what brand they claimed. You can’t see how the recipient subsequently spends the gift card or prepaid card they selected.

Can I track Visa and Mastercard reward activity in Giftbit?

Yes. Visa and Mastercard rewards are tracked the same way as egift cards in Giftbit. You get the same visibility into delivery status, claims, redemptions, and financial details across reports and reward history. This means you can monitor prepaid card activity alongside gift cards in a single system, with consistent reporting and the same level of control and transparency.

What reports can I export from Giftbit?

Giftbit offers multiple exportable reports to help you track reward activity and financial data. You can download reports that show reward status and delivery outcomes, recipient-level summaries, funding and balance activity, and transaction-level details. Reports can be filtered by date range and other criteria, making them useful for program monitoring, reconciliation, and internal reporting.

What happens to gift cards that are unclaimed or undelivered?

Unclaimed and undelivered prepaid and gift cards remain visible in your reward history and reports, so they are never hidden or lost. You can identify delivery issues, correct errors, and resend rewards when needed. This visibility helps program administrators understand campaign performance, reduce waste, and ensure each gift card or other digital reward reaches its intended recipient.

For Promotional rewards (i.e. those that have a 'claim by' date), if your recipient doesn't claim by the date set, 25% of the value defaults back to your balance.
